Set in the rolling South Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty, in the picturesque village of Stoughton is the Hare & Hounds.
A privately owned free house the pub has been a focal point of the village since the nineteenth century, the pub retains a traditional feel in unspoilt surroundings and is featured in many guides as well as a starting and finishing point for many great walks.
We developed a client-controlled website that allows the pub to highlight their weekly changing menus and seasonally changing wines and traditional ales. The pages also make use of randomly generated imagery from their gallery, creating a site that changes with every page and remains fresh and vibrant. Regular music events and festivals are held at the Hare and Hounds and their new dynamic site will allow them to advertise new events, book bands and alert their mailing list automatically each time a new event is published all online!
We have trained the proprietors to add pages and events, optimize new pictures for the web and upload them whenever they want to.They have full control over which pictures appear and it is all managed from the back-end interface. As with all of our sites, they do not need specialist software to do this, all that is needed is an internet connection.
