Alexandra Beale is a sculptor based in West Wittering. She has a renowned international reputation for her figurative work and wanted a site that would show her work at its best.
We developed a site that makes selective use of random imagery on different pages. For examples, every time you vist her home page, you will see one of her favorite pieces, shown at different viewing positions. The other information pages display a wider variety of her work, again randomly chosen each time you visit a page, to maintain a feeling of freshness.
We created three galleries and used an attractive “lightbox” effect to display the individual pictures, wheh they are clicked on. In addition, you can navigate between the pictures showing at full size by clicking on the Next and Previous links on the picture. There is also the option of a slideshow.
Alix was interviewed about her work by a local filmmaker and we used the latest video compression techniques to capture and render the video so that it can stream from her site with excellent definition.
We have trained Alix to optimize her new pictures and upload them to her galleries whenever she wants to. She has full control over which pictures appear in which galleries and is all managed from the back-end interface we have trained her to use. As with all of our sites, she does not need specialist software to do this , all that is needed is an internet connection.
Alix may create new galleries whenever she wants to and may also freely create additonal pages for her site at any time, with the changes taking place immediately each time.
